Dear Pastor – your creatives aren’t having fun with AI

Ask any artist if they have seen computer generated art which is designed to sell – to outsell the human.  The question they’re wrestling with, is this:  What is the point of being a human artist?  Christians and their non-Christian colleagues are asking exactly the same question.

It’s really hard to pull off being a member of the church while you’re also a pastor, isn’t it?

Yet another high profile ministry crashed, leaving a trail of spiritual wreckage and a plume of non-Christian cynicism.  And the lesson again is the deadly nature of being a lone pastor, an unaccountable pastor, a too-senior-to be-talked to-seriously pastor.

Pumping up the bouncy castle

I was taught at seminary that my role was to do myself out of a job. The great temptation of the pastor is to hoard ministry, and so I must delegate, clear out the desk, equip the rest of the church for ministry, and then my job is done. Move on. There are at least
